I love how easy the awning setups. The materials are great quality. I’m planning to use it all this summer.
So completed my first camping trip. Makes some noise at 55-75mph, otherwise good installation/sturdy/good coverage/easy use. Highly recommend.
Love the awning. What I was not told is that on the Galaxy Pro, once you install the awning, one of the tent rainfly brackets becomes unusable. I had to pay another $99 to get a bracket from Topoak that I hope fixes this. I would have given it 5 stars it the bracket was sent with the awning. The awning is easy to install, way to open and close. There is more room under it than I imagined. I can’t wait to take it on the road.
So far loving it. I only have a few thoughts that may or may not improve the awnings. 1: use a rip stop codura for the outside. Easier to maneuver. 2: use some sort of pull loop on the zippers also you could make them a bright color so you can see them better in the dark. 3: make your mounting brackets more universal or two sets. One toward the overlanding community and one towards the every day hi who doesn’t have a “top tier” roof rack. I have to drill into my cross bars on my crestone. Lastly, I would say make more videos in more detail about how to install your items. It is not very clear from what you have.
The install was tuff but I figured it out. It was nice to have the brackets with lots of adjustment. Install turned out great and solid. I am an experienced installer. It may be hard for a less skilled buyer. Thx
