There should have been an option when purchasing the tent and awning to get these brackets instead of the ones for roof rack.
The awning was really easy to mount to our Topoak RTT. There were no instructions so we watched a couple of Youtube videos. We were missing a couple of bolts that fit in the tracks of the tent to mount the brackets but we were able to make it work with extra bolts from the brackets that come with the awning.
We have the Galaxy 2.0 tent and since we mounted the awning to the tent we are not able to put up the rain fly on the awning side of the tent. Not the end of the world for us but would be nice to be able to still use it.
Overall worth the purchase. Easy to install and really fast to open and close it when camping!
Had some issues with missing parts and still have not received some missing parts. The awning is awesome and works flawlessly. We had it up at Joshua Tree and also at the Indian Truck trails. I highly recommend the Topoak 270 awning.
These awning brackets are great for mounting to the tent but I must agree with another review about interference with the awning poles and mounts for the poles. Unable to use the rainfly on the awning side of the tent. Perhaps I’m missing something? Otherwise, the brackets are solid
