So far this awning feels very well made. The fabric is thicker than expected and provides good shade. The support poles seem strong and held up fine in windy conditions. I appreciate that the brackets are metal, not plastic. It’s solid, fairly lightweight, and a good value overall. I’d recommend it.
This thing covers way more area than any awning I’ve owned before. I didn’t really expect it to make that much of a difference, but it actually gives you a lot more usable shade. Setup was pretty straightforward and once it’s out, it feels like you’ve got a much bigger space to hang out under. Definitely happy with it so far.
I shopped hard for an awning and settled on the 180* awning, mainly because the legs were included and most importantly, attached to the arms. We have another company's awning on our camping trailer and the bag that the legs are in always surprises us when they fall out.
The amount of shade coverage is also more than other companies that I considered, which is important because at the end of the day, the shelter from the sun or rain is why I wanted an awning in the first place.
The installation was a little tricky, we needed to order some T-bolts because the bolts that were included amongst all of the mounting hardware spun in the tracks of my rack. But other than that, installation was simple and easy to do.
Overall, I'm very happy with the ease of set up and the amount of time it takes to deploy and put away. The built in pouch to keep the guy lines in is super helpful, it ensures I'm not trying to remember where I (or someone else) put the lines that I need to keep the awning open. I love that everything really is one contained unit.
We haven't had a chance to use the lights yet, but the idea that I have 3 different color options was another deciding factor on purchasing this particular awning.
So far we've only used the awning on the beach (it did great, even with some windy days), but have a handful of camping trips lined up this fall, and I'm excited to put it to good use for years to come!
