I can't believe how well built the topoak 270 degree is. It is sturdy without being too heavy. It was easy to install and easy to deploy. Love the built in light setup. Topoak thought about everything. All the additional accessories was a big plus. Love the hammer/stake puller tool. Bought a separate set of mounting bracket to allow for a lower profile.
Love the awning. What I was not told is that on the Galaxy Pro, once you install the awning, one of the tent rainfly brackets becomes unusable. I had to pay another $99 to get a bracket from Topoak that I hope fixes this. I would have given it 5 stars it the bracket was sent with the awning. The awning is easy to install, way to open and close. There is more room under it than I imagined. I can’t wait to take it on the road.
So far loving it. I only have a few thoughts that may or may not improve the awnings. 1: use a rip stop codura for the outside. Easier to maneuver. 2: use some sort of pull loop on the zippers also you could make them a bright color so you can see them better in the dark. 3: make your mounting brackets more universal or two sets. One toward the overlanding community and one towards the every day hi who doesn’t have a “top tier” roof rack. I have to drill into my cross bars on my crestone. Lastly, I would say make more videos in more detail about how to install your items. It is not very clear from what you have.
This awning is fantastic! All hardware included, including tie down stakes, ropes and connectors for the lights! Very easy to open and close. Sturdy unit
My first outing was a success. My only Con: is there should be on each rail a stand up nub to give tarp a raised peak to help shed water, instead of allowing it to pool. The Pro: the initial set-up, deploying it, and the size of it are outstanding. The last thing is the price for what it is and the total cost AWESOME. for someone on a budget, I am more than pleased. Thank you again.
