The freight to Australia was only 5 or 6 days which is awesome. We were a bit disappointed that we could not get the Stella tent posted to Australia. So we went with the galaxy as the price was outstanding. After weeks of research we found top oak to be easily the best value for money on the market. At $1,280 au delivered it was at least $1,500 cheaper than comparable tents available here.
Really happy with the tent except the lack of awnings over the widows is it’s only downside. We are going to make some ourselves.
Wish we could have got the Stella but we are happy enough with this one. Great service and price!
I have yet to mount and use it but I checked it out as best I can and it seems like a quality product. I really appreciate that the tools sent for the cross bars with are not just cheap metal stamped wrenches but really quality tools. If I had to find a flaw it would be that the zippers are a pain to get to sometimes when the tent is open but that is a minor thing that I find of no real concern.
We installed the Galaxy on our 1 ton Chevy Express van (tall), mounting to an existing lumber rack. Installation was adaptable to our rack with little trouble. We only had to move the ladder brackets out board by mounting them to our rack side rails. Galaxy tent is just right for our needs. Highly recommend.
For the price you aren't going to find anything better. it's comfy and the skylight is a great feature. Had an issue with the ladder that they sorted out straight away. I shipped it to Australia and it was still cheaper to do that buy any of the brands over here that offer a similar product. Cannot fault them at all.
