For the price you aren't going to find anything better. it's comfy and the skylight is a great feature. Had an issue with the ladder that they sorted out straight away. I shipped it to Australia and it was still cheaper to do that buy any of the brands over here that offer a similar product. Cannot fault them at all.
I've had a soft side folding RTT before (Tepui), and been around several other brands including Roofnest, iKamper, and 23zero. This is a fantastic, budget or entry level tent. There are some nice aspects, and a few items that cause me to drop 1 star. Will explain why. Running this on a full size truck (Toyota Tundra), on a Kuat Ibex rack.
PROS
- Includes LED light strip with a long USB cord- this is nice that it dims and changes colors.
- Includes ladder with storage bag and TWO shoe bags.
- Includes pair of crossbars to use on top of the tent.
- Comfortable mattress, and condensation mat - my kid didn't complain, I was a big stiff. not a deal breaker.
- Comes with 3 sets of hooks for ladder to be used on any of the risdes or rear.
- SKYLIGHT! this is really nice. I love being able to starwatch and also let light in during the day. One of the biggest selling ponts for me.
- The extra space inside with the pop out with the u shaped bar. So much room for activities!
- Arrived via LTL freight in one piece and no damage!
CONS
- its easily 15-20lbs heavier than other comparable models- but those all cost 10-50% more.
- No "awning" that is okay because the Stellar can be purchased if you need this.
- The entrance to the double T channel slots have some rubber/glue reside and sometimes its hard to get your t-nut or bolt into the track
- The finish on top of the roof had 2 small nicks. nothing that big, but it was definitely a manufacturing defect.
- Needs zipper pulls! I ordered two packs (different colors) of zipper tabs to put on all zippers to the mesh and solid panels to make it easier to find esp in low light.
- Condensation does occur. I was lake camping this winter and woke up with a lot of condesation on the sinde side walls. the two side vents may not be fully open or suffucient to keep moisture from collecting inside.

I’m liking what I see it’s in the garage on saw horses at the moment, truck bed rack is on the way. It was packaged real good and in excellent shape when it arrived, I will let you know and take photos on my progress.

Recently ordered and picked up the Galaxy 1.0 RTT, from the SoCal warehouse. The pick up went smooth and the warehouse staff was really helpful. I chose to remove the RTT from the crate and load it into my F150 bed. (Deck system makes for a flat wide surface with no wheel well humps) After removal from the crate they carefully lifted the RTT using the forklift. Loaded and strapped down and took it home. Installation wasn’t bad. The mounting tracks underneath measured 70” in length. Well my cross bars were also 70” apart, leaving not enough track to secure the RTT that first night. Easy fix though! I replaced the original tracks with 78” tracks and problem solved using the pre-existing holes and hardware.
The RTT appears to have quality materials and stitching and included the telescoping ladder, interior LED strip, and accessory bars. All parts and hardware were included as they should be. The tent functions perfectly. I chose the Galaxy 1.0 vs the Stellar, for the big side windows and ease of climbing in. I do wish it was lighter in weight.. but then you may end up with less durable materials.
